Production Standards:
Common production standards include ASTM B625, ASTM B366, ASTM B564, ASTM B649, ASTM B677 and ASTM B829.

Forging:
Alloy 926 has good malleability and can be shaped by hot or cold forging process.

Heat Treatment:
Alloy 926 is typically solution treated at temperatures in the range of 1050°C to 1150°C, followed by water quenching or air cooling.

Cold Working:
Alloy 926 performs well in cold working and can be subjected to machining operations such as cold rolling, cold drawing, and cold bending.

Corrosion Resistance:
Alloy 926 has excellent corrosion resistance and is particularly well suited for applications in acidic and chloride environments. It has high corrosion resistance to sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, chlorides, chlorosulfites and other strong corrosive media.

Mechanical Properties:
The mechanical properties of Alloy 926 are as follows:
- Yield strength: 490 MPa minimum
- Tensile strength: 650 MPa minimum
- Elongation: 35% minimum

Properties:
Alloy 926 has excellent corrosion resistance, high strength and good machinability. It has good weldability and thermal stability for long term stability in high temperature and corrosive environments.

Welding material grades

Alloy 926 can be welded with the following welding materials:

- Solid solution welding materials: ERNiCrMo-10, ENiCrMo-10
- Clad Arc Welding Rod: E NiCrMo-10
- Unclad arc welding electrode: ENiCrMo-10
- TIG wire: ERNiCrMo-10, ENiCrMo-10
- MIG/MAG wire: ERNiCrMo-10, ENiCrMo-10

These welding consumables ensure good compatibility with Alloy 926 base material and high strength of welded joints.

Application Areas:

Alloy 926 is widely used in the following fields due to its excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical properties:

1. oil and gas industry: for oil well casing, seawater treatment equipment, seawater coolers, pipelines and valves in marine and coastal environments.
2. chemical processing industry: for reactors, distillation towers, heat exchangers, tanks and pipelines in acidic environments, etc.
3. Marine engineering: for offshore platforms, ship components, desalination equipment, etc. under seawater corrosive environment.
4. Environmental engineering: for sewage treatment equipment, exhaust gas treatment system and chimney, etc.
5. nuclear energy industry: used in nuclear reactors, steam generators, coolers and pipelines, etc.
6. Pharmaceutical industry: for pharmaceutical equipment and equipment for handling highly concentrated acid and alkali solutions, etc.

These applications require materials with excellent corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance and pressure resistance, and Alloy 926 can meet these requirements, so it is widely used in these industrial fields.
