Incoloy alloy is a type of nickel-based alloy, mainly composed of nickel, chromium and iron. Some alloys also add elements such as aluminum, titanium and molybdenum. They have excellent high temperature corrosion resistance and corrosion resistance. Several common Incoloy alloy types will be introduced one by one below.

1. Incoloy 800

Incoloy 800 is suitable for the condensation conditions of F-, Cl- and acid media, and has good corrosion resistance against sulfuric acid, nitric acid and their mixed solutions. The alloy is also resistant to pressure corrosion and polyethylene corrosion. Incoloy 800 is mainly used in nuclear power generation units, water heaters, gas coolers and waste steam boilers.

2. Incoloy 800H

Incoloy 800H is an improved version of Incoloy 800 that limits the amount of carbon in the alloy. It has better creep properties than Incoloy 800 and is resistant to corrosion from steam, soft water, steam-air-CO2 mixtures, various acid solutions, salts and H2S.
3. Incoloy 800HT

Incoloy 800HT is an improved version of Incoloy 800H, which further limits the carbon content and aluminum content. In the Incoloy 800 series, its creep properties are taken to the extreme.

4. Incoloy 825

Incoloy 825 has the ability to resist oxidative stress corrosion and redox composite media corrosion. It has good corrosion resistance to sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid and various acid solutions to a certain extent. Incoloy 825 is commonly used in oil and gas pipelines, oil and gas vapor coolers, nuclear waste processing equipment and components used in sour gases

5. Incoloy 903

Incoloy 903 is a low-expansion superalloy that achieves a very low coefficient of linear expansion through a special ratio of nickel and iron. The addition of cobalt enables it to maintain low expansion properties at high temperatures and obtain high high-temperature strength through precipitation strengthening. It is an indispensable material in aircraft engines.

6. Incoloy 907

Incoloy 907 is an improved version of Incoloy 903, which improves the oxidation resistance of the alloy by controlling the aluminum content. At the same time, it adds more niobium to achieve precipitation strengthening effects.

7. Incoloy 908

Incoloy 908 is also a low-expansion superalloy and, unlike Incoloy 903, 907 and 909, does not require the addition of cobalt to increase the alloy’s low-expansion temperature.

8. Incoloy 909

Incoloy 909 is an improved version of Incoloy 907, which improves the transient properties of the alloy by increasing the silicon content. At the same time, its aging treatment time is much shorter than that of Incoloy 907.

9. Incoloy 925

Incoloy 925 is a nickel-based alloy containing molybdenum and copper, containing 19.5-23.50% chromium and 42.0-26.0% nickel. The alloy has excellent hot and cold working properties.

10. Incoloy 926

Incoloy 926 is a nickel-based alloy containing titanium and aluminum. It contains enough chromium to form and maintain an adequate chromium oxide layer, which has good protective properties under high temperature conditions. Compared with conventional chromium-nickel stainless steels such as 304, Incoloy 926 is more resistant to high temperatures.

11. Incoloy A-286

Incoloy A-286 is a nickel-based superalloy with added elements such as molybdenum, titanium, aluminum, vanadium and trace amounts of boron to enhance its overall properties. Fe-25Ni-15Cr has high yield strength and durability, and has good creep strength at temperatures below 650°C. It is suitable for the manufacture of high-temperature bearing parts for aerospace engines operating below 650°C, such as turbines. discs, pressure plates, rotor blades and fasteners.

Conclusion:

Incoloy alloys are a class of nickel-based alloys with excellent high temperature corrosion resistance and corrosion resistance. Different types of Incoloy alloys have a wide range of applications in different fields, such as nuclear power generation, oil and gas industry, and aerospace fields. Understanding the characteristics and application range of these alloys will help us select appropriate materials in practical applications and improve product performance and reliability.
